IronShore Studio is the workshop of Artist Metalsmith Sue Lampert. Specializing in handcrafted functional and fine art, Sue works primarily in steel, aluminum, copper, bronze and silver to create sculptures, architectural features, furniture, knives, jewelry and custom metalwork.

Since 1997 Sue has been creating metal art. The theme of her work is primarily organic in form, but also includes styles ranging from 17th century traditional ironwork to modern freeform. Knives and jewelry are another facet of her work. Creating patterned steel billets (also known as Damascus steel), she produces one of a kind knives and jewelry pieces.

Techniques used to produce her work include traditional hand forging, sheet metal work, modern fabrication and pattern welded steel billet production. Finishes may be hand rubbed oil, wax, patina, paint with faux techniques and powder coating depending on the end use of the art.

With a background in engineering, Sue is able to work closely with her clients to design both public and private artworks. Her work has been published in a variety of forms, including national magazines and hardback 'coffee table' books. Her passion is to take an unforgiving material in its raw form and shape it into a work of art for people to enjoy.
